» CHARACTER INFORMATION
Character NAME: Albert Wesker
Canon & MEDIUM: Resident Evil (gamesverse)
Canon PULL-POINT: Before the fight in which he's overdosed with his vaccine, Resident Evil 5.
Character AGE: Forty-eight. Looks damn good for his age, doesn't he?
Character ABILITIES: Wesker is the only character in the Resident Evil universe known to have actual superhuman abilities... well, unless you count less-intelligent virus-created mutants, or characters like Alexia Ashford. The virus he is infected with was one of the basis for Uroboros, and it enhanced Wesker's metabolism far above and beyond the scope of the natural human threshold, at a cost. This means that his physical abilities are far beyond that of any normal human, well into superhuman territory. In addition to superhuman strength and speed, he has shown advanced regenerative abilities, able to recover within seconds from being shot by a gun. In the movies, he survived beyond shot in the head at point blank range from a sawed-off shotgun, his head growing back completely as if it had never happened. His body is able to move at speeds beyond the ability of the human eye to see. He has been able to dodge bullets in a way that makes even the people from The Matrix look boring, and his eyes are apparently able to adjust their FPS accordingly; the result of this mutation caused his eyes to glow yellowish-red with cat-like pupils, hence the sunglasses. He has been able to punch with the force to dent a solid steel wall, and has impaled a human outright when they were on the receiving end. He also apparently has a complete mastery over most forms of martial arts, and is highly skilled with most forms of firearms, showing a preference for large-caliber pistols (and in Mercenaries Mode, shotguns). And humorously, if you attempt to punch him in the fights against him in Resident Evil 5, Chris Redfield pulls his hand back and shakes it to alleviate the pain; punching Wesker is a lot like punching a solid brick wall.

The catch, however, is that he needs to continually boost his immune system via a special serum. If he doesn't take the exact needed dose every 24 hours, the virus will overtake his body, and eventually kill him. It is possible that he could find a substitute of some kind, or be able to replicate the serum from scratch using different materials; Wesker is, after all, a genius in the fields of biochemistry, pharmacology, and general chemistry, and before being injected with the virus, grew up relatively comfortably in Umbrella with the best education money could buy.

The way to kill Wesker seems to be when his body is destroyed more rapidly than he can regenerate. He was finally killed in Resident Evil 5 when he was thrown into a volcano, and the sheer heat of lava melted his body faster than it could repair itself. He was then shot in the head twice by rocket-propelled grenades.
Character HISTORY: Brace for TL;DR.
Character PERSONALITY:
Hmm. Let's see. Okay, normally, when you think of someone like Wesker, you automatically picture the absolute worst traits of humanity all rolled up into one package of destruction and megalomania. Well, if I were to tell you everything that was bad about Wesker and then called him a megalomaniac, you would say "Oh, well, maybe if he were just a megalomaniac, he might not be such a bad guy." Yes, that's how bad Wesker is.

For starters, he has a God complex, in the most literal sense. His most well-known in-game quote stems from something he said while leaning over Spencer's dying body: "The right to become a God... that right is now mine." His ultimate goal involves the release of the Uroboros virus into the world's atmosphere, thus killing every last surviving human that didn't have the exact genes necessary to be compatible with the virus, and thus becoming a superhuman like he himself is. Take what Hitler was trying to accomplish via his eugenics-based breeding laws and genocide of "inferior races", multiply that on a global scale and narrow down the master race to a few hundred people (a generous estimate) out of the billions of living humans, infected or not. Now take into account that Wesker wants to crown himself the "god" of this new race of ubermensch, and you have an absolute nightmare of a man.

Personality wise, Wesker often seems abnormally calm throughout the series, not even so much as breaking a sweat in most of the fight scenes involving him (with the exception of the climax of Resident Evil 5). Calculating, collected, and with an evil genius' flair for the grandiose, Wesker never once seems to lose his cool (again, up until Resident Evil 5). Even when he's moving faster than the human eye can see or shoving a gun in your face, he doesn't even seem to raise his voice, constantly delivering quiet, snarky, and deadpan lines with a hint of a British accent. The only time he ever seemed to show any sort of rage, other than when Ozwell E. Spencer revealed the true nature of Wesker's birth to him (which, understandably, might be a traumatic experience), was after Wesker was overdosed on his serum. So, depending on the amount of stress he is experiencing - which is not common at all - Wesker seems to have a near-perfect control over his own emotions. Worse yet, he is clearly able to fake them, as he seemed like an entirely different person in Resident Evil One, while he was captain of S.T.A.R.S. and had the utmost trust of everyone under his command.

To call him a 'genius' would be an understatement. He is always the one operating behind the scenes, and seems to have a hand in every major event that happens throughout the series, manipulating everyone up to and including the main characters. Even people like Excella, who honestly trusted Wesker and thought she could get her way by sleeping with him, had no idea Wesker was playing her like like a fiddle until it was far too late. It should be noted that his returning of Excella's affections were entirely staged; he never once saw her as anything more than a simple pawn, and certainly not as his 'queen in his new world' that Excella had aspired to being. It is safe to assume that Wesker can and will say anything to get his way, no matter who he is lying to, what he is getting others to do, or who is harmed in the process. Even though Wesker shows no real loyalty to anybody, it's apparent that he does see the usefulness of having accomplices, though he has no qualms at stabbing them in the back the minute it becomes convenient for him to do so.

In regards to his hobbies, Wesker really doesn't have any to speak of. He shows little to no interest in maintaining any sort of meaningful relationship, and I don't think he does anything for pleasure. He doesn't smoke or drink (excessively, anyway). That said, he does appear to be somewhat of a womanizer. He was clearly using Excella Gionne, granted, but in Resident Evil 2, an Easter Egg reveals a picture of Rebecca Chambers in a rather revealing (yet entirely normal for the time period) basketball uniform hidden on his desk, and he apparently fathered a child sometime in eastern Europe, leading to the birth of Jake Muller. Considering Jake never knew Wesker (a demo of RE6 confirms this, as he states he's never even heard of him), it's safe to assume the relationship that fathered Jake was very short-lived, and was probably even a one-night stand.

» EXSILIUM INFORMATION
Chosen WEAPON: Wesker had two weapons on him at the time; his IMI Desert Eagle, and his customized Samurai Edge heavy pistol. In the game, he'll start off with a new gun; a hand-held pistol no bigger than your average 9x19mm Parabellum pistol. It could eventually evolve to replenish it's own ammo supply, and change ammunition and even rate-of-fire depending on whatever Wesker needs.
Chosen SKILLSET: Just like Zexion, Wesker can easily do both. He's one of the most dangerous men on earth in the Resident Evil universe, for more reasons than one.

First PERSON: I didn't expect to find a city surviving. This would be the perfect place to rebuild Umbrella again... these citizens, terrified of a plague. All I would need to do is develop a vaccine, while keeping this plague for myself.

[ Wesker's face vanished from the screen, as he carefully surveyed his surroundings. ]

I can almost smell the fear radiating from this place. A veritable hell hole in a world already forsaken by its god. Well... I would be dearth in my duties as a human being to leave this world without its guiding light. A god is not a god until it illuminates a world shrouded in darkness, after all.

[ The camera begins bouncing, as if its holder began strolling ahead. ]

Oh, Excella, if only you were here to see this. A shame that you can only watch me build the world you helped create for me from beyond the grave.
Third PERSON: Two shots, and two zombies fell to the ground, clutching at the gaping holes fired through their fetid skulls, blood pouring through the weather drains as Wesker casually stepped over the twitching corpses. The tail of his duster coat flew behind him as the wind began to pick up, his red eyes glowing behind his shades. Wesker only had three notable items on his person, besides his clothes and sunglasses; a small flashdrive tucked inside his pocket, his Samurai Edge desert eagle, and a satchel of bandoleers full of spare ammunition, freshly looted from a surplus store. The zombies were surprisingly scarce in the Department of Energy building; it could have been that they didn't like that the inside of it was still buzzing with electricity, one of the few buildings with redundant generators that survived the apocalypse.

Wesker met surprisingly little resistance infiltrating the building. He only had to kill two or three zombies before the rest dispersed, their barely-functioning brains able to recognize a hopeless fight, or perhaps that Wesker himself wasn't human, and had as much in common with humans as they did. It wasn't long before anyone who would attempt to follow the sounds of gunfire would be able to notice that the zombies seemed to be avoiding the substation beneath the Department of Energy building, with a trail of dismembered limbs, crushed skulls, and splattered guts leading to a wing of the building full of computers.

Wesker flipped a switch as soon as he entered, and the redundant generators of the building roared to life. The lights flickered on, and the zombies groaned in surprise, seemingly unable to cope with the fact that the building was no longer a dark, moist haven, but now full of the sounds of an air conditioner, humming electricity, and fluorescent lighting.

Wesker would be found standing in front of a large monitor, which had booted up to display the city's electrical grid. "And there we are..." Wesker mused, withdrawing the flashdrive from his breast pocket. "A god is not a god until it brings light to a dark place... isn't that right, Spencer?" Wesker asked an empty room, as he jammed the flashdrive into the monitor's USB slot. Almost immediately, a hand-coded virus began uploading itself into the city's electrical grid. Almost simultaneously, the grid's firewalls were dismantled by leftover knowledge from Wesker's time with Umbrella, and the different power plants were left vulnerable to remote activation. Wasting no time, the would-be god began flipping switches near the monitor. Both privately-owned and government-owned power plants across the five Burroughs of New York City sputtered to life. Turbines in the Hudson River began turning, solar panels once more tracked the sun's location in the sky, and automated facilities began working again at full throttle, without any private software security left to stop outside interference.

The first thing someone would notice would be the fearful screams of zombies in the streets, as everything from electronic billboards to the screens in Times Square began playing at full blast. Though nothing in particular would be on the screens, pre-recorded music would play through speakers in looted supermarkets, department stores would be advertising whatever product was on sale prior to the apocalypse, and radio stations would be broadcasting static.

"And God said, let there be light." Wesker quipped to himself, withdrawing the flash drive from the slot. With one flick of his wrist, he crushed the small plastic drive in his fist. All that was needed now was to reactivate the Cell Towers... something he, regrettably, could not do with a simple computer virus. It required knowledge Wesker himself did not have, and wasn't as simple as flipping a switch.

But Jill... certainly she would know who to talk to.

» ADDITIONAL NOTES
He'll undergo a canon-update if anything relevant about him pops up in RE6, beyond Jake Muller, of course. He will also be requiring a daily dose of his medications, which are delivered via injection.
